About
I am a lifelong programmer and senior software developer with 15+ years commercial experience.
My forte is in web development. I have long term experience in accessibility and performance focused front end development, many popular back end and API frameworks, cloud infrastructure and in planning and architecting scalable, ergonomic systems that stand the test of time.
I also have experience in and enjoy developing native applications, from mobile apps to APIs and microservices, to software for embedded systems, and everything in between.

History
Personal
I grew up with an Amiga A500 and from a very young age I enjoyed not just playing games, but tinkering and dismantling all things digital to see how they worked inside. Some years later, I got my first MS-DOS / Windows PC, a humble Pentium 75.
Like many others in the development industry, I wanted to be a game programmer as a child. I spent my pre-teen years learning C++ and as a teenager I went on to learn DirectX and OpenGL, followed by Flash and ActionScript.
I persued my musical qualifications in further education with the ambition of being a professional composer, but always continued programming as a passion.
Eventually, I went full circle and ended up surfing the JS and PHP wave as the AJAX era began, and have enjoyed working as a web developer ever since.
